"The reason I started Monster Rod Holders back in 2008 was that a rod holder from a competing brand failed on me, taking away my fishing gear and what I've always imagined being the catfish of a lifetime. This was a hard hit financially as the US was in a financial crisis then, but also emotionally for the fish I had lost. At that moment, I promised myself I would never lose a fish once again because of a rod holder. I designed my own extra-strong rod holder and started using it right away. People started getting curious and soon started wanting to use my products. Monster Rod Holders was born."
